Welcome to my latest blog, which I am taking over from the previous editor. Just to introduce myself, I have been an online reporter and writer since before the dawn of the internet, circa 1993. I developed Type 2 Diabetes at the age of 36 and am currently on insulin (Novolog, Levemir). I've been doing research and investigation into diabetes and its causes, treatments (and hopefully cures) for the past 5 years.In this blog, we hope to cover a number of new developments in diabetes research as well as the latest news on treatment methods, medications, diabetes prevention, clinical trials, promising surgical procedures to help restore pancreas function and ways to save on diabetes treatment and diabetes test supplies.
